Court restores Soludo as APGA governorship candidate

Anambra court on Monday ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to list the name of Professor Chukwuma Soludo as the candidates of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for the November 6, 2021, governorship election.

In Professor Soludo’s case, the High Court presided over by Justice Charles Okaa directed INEC to publish the name of the former CBN Governor removed from the INEC’s list last Friday, replaced with that of Chukwuma Umeoji.

In his judgement, Justice Okaa ordered Umeoji to stop parading himself as the candidate of APGA for the November election.

The court also confirmed that Chief Victor Oye is the authentic national chairman of APGA and directed that Chief Edozie Njoku and Mr. Jude Okeke to stop parading themselves as chairmen.
