Kwara State Government has presented a letter of appointment to the new Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, Oba Ismail Yahaya Alebiosu.
At the brief ceremony held at the State Secretariat Phase One in Ilorin, the State Commissioner for Local Government, Community Development, and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr Aliyu Saifuddeen said the selection of His Royal Highness, Oba Ismail Yahaya Alebiosu as the Olupo of Ajase-Ipo was an honour well deserved.
According to him, the state government has always accorded due recognition, respect and support to the traditional rulers since the inception of the administration.
Mr Saifuddeen explained that a traditional institution is a veritable tool for grassroots mobilization, cohesion, and socio-economic development.
The Commissioner urged the new Olupo of Ajase-Ipo to use the position to promote peace, tranquillity and progress among his subjects.
In his acceptance speech, the Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, Oba Ismail Yahaya Alebiosu gave assurance that the entire community would be carried along in the discharge of his responsibilities.
In a statement, the National President, AJASE-IPO Descendant union, Muritala Adekunle Lawal described the appointment as well deserved.
Oba Ismail Yahaya Alebiosu is a first class Oba as the new Olupo of Ajase-Ipo.
It would be recalled the Olupo stool became vacant owing to the death of Oba Sikiru Atanda Sanni Woleola II who died on February 21st, 2021 after brief illness.
The statement says the new Oba is from the Alebiosu ruling House, was born on February 11th, 1980.
Oba Ismail Yahaya Alebiosu was 2003 law graduate of the University of Ilorin, with second class upper division, also holds Masters degree from the premier University, the University of Ibadan.
He is a member of the United Kingdom Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
Oba Alebiosu was until his appointment the Managing Partner and Head of Chambers, CLARKE (SAN and Muhammed legal Office, owned by one of the foremost legal practitioners in the Country, Chief Robert Clarke (SAN).
