APC group set to showcase president Buhari’s achievements

An All Progressives Congress, APC, Legacy Awareness and Campaign group, says it will commence a national programme to promote initiatives and achievements of the APC-led government under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The group said it is convinced that since May 29, 2015, when the Buhari administration was inaugurated, landmark initiatives had been and are still being implemented.

A statement by the leadership of the group which include Mr Ismail Ahmed, Mr Lanre Issa-Onilu, Mr Tolu Ogunlesi and Dr Salihu Lukman, stresses that in comparative terms, the Buhari-led administration has recorded more achievements within six years than all the previous governments under the PDP between 1999 and 2015.

The statement explains that it will present the achievements with facts and empirical evidence every week, and engage Nigerians on the issues based on specific highlights of work being executed.

It says committed party members will be invited to participate in the campaign including the opposition parties, especially the PDP to engage the issues by presenting especially what they comparatively were able to achieve when they were in power or in states where they control.

The statement emphasises that the campaign has become necessary to prevent a situation whereby political entrepreneurs would take advantage of current challenges in the country to mislead Nigerians into believing that the APC and President Buhari’s government have failed.

It says though there are challenges in the country, the Federal Government and all the leaders in the party are working hard to resolve.
