I acted in self-defense- Iniobong’s alleged killer

Frank Akpan, the alleged killer of Iniobong Umoren has given details on how he murdered the 26-year-old job seeker in Akwa Ibom.

Akpan who spoke with the media while been paraded by the Akwa Ibom State Police Command along his father alleged that he killed Ms. Umoren with a voltage stabiliser in self-defense after the deceased bit his index finger.

Akwa Ibom State Police Command reveals that Ms. Umoren was physically and sexually assaulted and described Mr. Akpan as a “confessed serial rapist”.

The corpse of Ms. Iniobong Umoren has however been buried today (Friday) in her hometown, Nung Ita in Oruk Anam Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State with a large number of mourners and individuals seeking justice for the deceased.

An investigative report by a journalist David Hundeyin published on Tuesday suggests that Mr. Akpan may not have been acting alone.

#JusticeForHinyUmoren has trended for some days on the social with calls within and outside Nigeria by groups and individuals for justice of Mr. Frank Akpan’s victim.
