A University Lecturer has advocated for a sustainable framework aimed at bringing the youths together to exploit their diverse potentials for the economic development of the country.
Head, Department of Taxation, Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Associate Professor Solomon Aza made the call at the Wangibi Annual Cultural Festival in Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area of the state.
According to Associate Professor Solomon Aza, the major way of entrenching peace, stability and steady economic growth was to initiate feasible programmes focusing on youths that would provide veritable platforms for them show- case their talents.
Speaking on the theme “Unity and Peace for Development”, the university lecturer explained that no nation can develop, no matter the quantity of its natural resources if there is no justice, equity and access where the citizens can express their views and be heard.
Associate Professor Solomon Aza called on the youths to take responsibility and channel their energies to the development and unity of the country.
National President, Eggon Cultural Development Association, ECDA, Mr Wilberforce Alaku stressed the need for leaders to always fulfil their campaign promises to enhance peace and development.
