Central Bank of Nigeria says it will continue to provide opportunities for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises to access loans without difficulties at single-digit rates as part of steps towards entrenching a vibrant economy in the country.
Lafia Branch Controller for the Apex Bank in Nasarawa State, Mr. Samson Isuwa stated this at the opening of a three-day Nasarawa Entrepreneur Bootcamp in Lafia the Nasarawa State capital.
Mr Samson Isuwa stated that CBN had remained consistent in initiating loan schemes covering agriculture, the entertainment industry, small scale business owners among others at a single-digit interest rate to achieve federal government’s drive to economic prosperity.
Founder Nasarawa Entrepreneurs Hub, Mr Kefas Tiga said the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp was to develop young entrepreneurs with the appropriate skills and identify which businesses have the capacities to access loans and payback on time.
The Entrepreneurship Bootcamp had presentations from the Industrial Training Fund, Raw Material Research and Development Council, Standards Organization of Nigeria among other stakeholders.
