Kwara State Police Command says it has successfully rescued the three farm workers abducted by unknown gunmen at Pampo Village in Ilorin.
The state Commissioner of Police Mohammed Lawal -Bagega made this known in a statement by the Command spokesman, SP Ajayi Okasanmi in Ilorin.
According to the statement the command expresses worry over the abduction incident, despite the tight security arrangements put in place across the state.
The statement says the news of the kidnapping prompted the Commissioner of Police to give a matching order to the Command’s anti-kidnapping operatives which eventually forced the kidnappers to abandon the victims.
It says the effort is still on to arrest the fleeing suspects.
The statement adds that the three kidnap victims are in stable condition.
