The body of the National Secretary of Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria, Late Dr Silas Adamu, his wife and daughter have been laid to rest at his residence in Tsaunin Kura Sabo Government Reservation Area, Kaduna.
Governor, Nasiru El-Rufai who expressed grieve over the demise of Dr Silas described him as a pillar to his community and an exemplary leader who took an impactful step towards brokering peace in his community the Atyap land before his sudden death and urged the Atyap community to continue with the peace efforts.
National President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Ayuba Waba called on labour leaders in the country to live by the standard principles of their calling and not to allow the legacies of late Dr Silas Adamu to die with him.
The Chief of Atyap, Agwa Tyap I, Dr Dominic Yahaya said the peace processes the deceased undertook when sworn into office as the President of Atyap Development Association will not be abandoned but followed until lasting peace is achieved in his Chiefdom.
Late Comrade Silas Adamu died about 2 weeks ago alongside his wife and daughter in a ghastly car accident along the Kaduna-Abuja expressway.
