The troops of the Nigerian Army have on Wednesday rescued the ten citizens who were Kidnapped from the Kaduna Airport Staff Quarters, Ifira, Igabi local government area of Kaduna State.
Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home, Affairs Mr Samuel Aruwan confirmed this at a news briefing to provide an update regarding to the rescue of the citizens.
The Commissioner explained that, the rescued citizens were currently receiving medical attention.
Armed bandits scale the fence of the Kaduna Airport Staff Quarters in the early hours of Saturday 6th March 2021, and kidnapped ten persons from two houses located near the fence.
According to him, Precise details of the rescue location cannot be provided due to operational expediency.
Mr Aruwan pointed out that, Governor Nasir El-Rufai has received the report of the rescue with elation, and has congratulated the troops for the successful rescue.
According to Samuel Aruwan, the Governor has also met with the rescued citizens to assure them of the unwavering commitment of the Kaduna State Government.
