Ten persons comprising three men, four women and three babies have regained their freedom after been in captivity of bandits for over three months In Zamfara state.
Among them is a father of one of the students of government girl’s secondary school Jangebe recently rescued by the state government through dialogue.
The released abductees who hailed from Gwaram village of Talatar Mafara local government said, they have been tortured by the bandits by been allowed to urinate only once a day and eat food twice a day.
Presenting the rescued persons to Zamfara state governor at government house Gusau, commissioner for security and home affairs Abubakar Dauran said the state government remains committed on its peace dialogue which has been yielding positive results.
Also In his address, chief of staff government house, colonel Bala Mande retired who received the victims on behalf of the state governor said they will be reunited with their families soon after been treated by medical doctors.
