NSCDC confiscates adulterated petroleum products in Kogi

Kogi State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has paraded a three-man syndicate who specialises in transporting adulterated petroleum products, DPK and APK in nylons concealed in sacks.

Parading the suspects at the Command Headquarters in Lokoja, the State Commandant, Peter Maigari said the men were arrested during a stop and search operation on Ganaja road, Lokoja.

Commandant Maigari said the suspects who claimed to come from Port Harcourt are on their way to Suleja in Niger State to deliver the products.

Speaking through an interpreter, the driver of the truck, Mustapha Mohammed, aged twenty-five and two others Awal Mohammed and Hassan Mohammed Sani denied the knowledge of the adulterated products saying that they were only engaged to transport the items with an escort to Suleja who escaped on sighting NSCDC.
