Radio Nigeria’s staff turbaned Dan Iyyan Zazzau

Alhaji Abdulrahman Bayero has been turbaned as the Dani-yan Zazzau of Zaria emirate.

He is a staff of News and Current Affairs of Radio Nigeria Headquarters. Before then he was an editor at Radio Nigeria Kaduna, correspondent in Zaria and also Head of News at Radio Nigeria FM in Dutse Jigawa State.

He is currently the General Manager of Radio Nigeria Karama FM in Kaduna.

The immediate holder of the title, Bashir Amin died, on January 1st, 2021, in Lagos at the age of 70.

Path of ancestors

Alhaji Bayero has promised to toe the path of his ascestor to promote peace and social well being of the people of Zazzau.

He stated this when Management and Staff of the FRCN Headquarters visited him during his turbaning at the palace of Emir of Zazzau.

The Dani-yan-Zazzau said the title, with his journalism experience would help him to foster peace, unity and development and promote quality education in the emirate.

He solicited support from the people towards building a better society.

The Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli urged the new title holders to exhibit total trust and loyalty to the Emirate.

The Director News, FRCN, Mallam Sani Suleiman wished the new Dan iyan-Zazzau guidance and wisdom to lead his people well.

Also at the turbaning were the former Director General of the Corporation, Alhaji Yusuf Nuhu, Assistant Director, News, Mr Zaccheaus Babalola, Mr Kayode Oyebisi, and Assistant Director, Program, Mr Salem Akindele-Rock, as well as other staff.
