Sanwo-Olu vows to resist attempts to bring back Apapa gridlock

Apapa, Lagos

The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has promised to name and shame individuals and maritime operators that may want to reverse the progress being recorded along the Apapa corridor.

Governor Sanwo-Olu said the electronic Call-Up System unveiled last Saturday, in the Apapa seaports was designed to permanently address movement of trailers in and out of the ports, and bring about traffic improvement along the corridor, warning that the State Government would resist any attempt from any quarters to bring back the problem.

The Governor who described the progress recorded in Apapa as “hard-won”, noted that some troublesome people who were benefiting from the gridlock may want to scuttle the new process warned that government would fight against them.
