The Federal Government says, a total of 398 Estate Surveyors and Valuers have Requested For Proposal, RFP, to bid for forfeited assets.
The Permanent Secretary and Solicitor General of the Federation, Mr Dayo Apata stated this at the official Opening Bid on the forfeited Assets to the government, in Abuja.
Mr. Apata who doubles as the Chairman of the Inter-ministerial Committee on Disposal of Forfeited Assets to the Federal Government, disclosed that out of the 398 estate valuers that indicated interest for the RFP, only 355 submitted theirs while 6 firms were rejected.
Apata said the bid process for the procurement of Estate Surveyors and Valuers on the forfeited assets was aimed at ensuring “transparency and value for money”.
Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami SAN, inaugurated the interministerial committee on the 9th November, last year.
The committee was given six months to dispose all Federal Government forfeited assets.
