Police intensify search for abducted students

Zamfara State Police Command said they are working in collaboration with other security agencies and the state government for safe rescue of Jangebe students.

In a statement made available to Radio Nigeria by Police Public Relations Officer, SP Muhammad Shehu says the abducted Students have not been released.

However, the Statement noted that efforts are on to ensure safe rescue of the Students and urged members of the public to disregard the online news that the students were released.

Meanwhile, the command appealed to person or group of persons with credible information about thee abducted students to contacts the following senior officers of the command as follows:

Commander 42 PMF Gusau 08034537596; Commander 78 PMF Maradun 08035318484; Commander Puff Adder Zamfara 08023161417.

Others are Commander CTU Base 18 Gusau 08037502638; O/C Intelligence, Gusau 08036525452; PPRO Zamfara 08091914752

317 students of Government Girls junior Secondary School, Jangebe in Talata Mafara Local Government area of the State, were abducted by gunmen last Friday
