The Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation Mr Boss Mustapha has confirmed the date of the arrival of the COVID-19 vaccines which will be on Tuesday, 2nd March 2021.
He stated this on a live Television interview by a Private station.
The Chairman explained that the Vaccines are expected to leave the COVAX facility in India tomorrow Monday 1st of March and will arrive the following day.
He said about Four Million doses of the Vaccines are expected in the first batch of the delivery.
Mr Boss Mustapha however noted that the expected date of delivery might be subject to change depending on the arrangements of UNICEF.
He also assured Nigerians that the Federal Government is ready to receive the vaccines for further revaluation and distribution as planned.
