Religious leaders advocate peaceful co-existence

A faith-base Organization, Alhabibiyya Islamic Society and a Non-Governmental Organization, Mambayya House Aminu Kano Centre for Democratic Societies has signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote peaceful co-existence and good governance cross the country.

Director, Mambayya House, Prof. Ismalla Zango stated this at dialogue meeting in Abuja.

He said the gesture was to entrench transparency, accountability and good governance for a better Nigeria.

The National Chief Imam, Alhabibiyya islamic society, Imam Fuad Adeyemi said the two Organizations was poised to promote and encourage transparency in complimenting government efforts in line with the present administration in the fight against corruption.

Co-executive Director, Interfaith Mediation Centre, Pastor James Movel expressed hope that the partnership would promote religious tolerance and development.
