President Muhammadu Buhari has been commended for his sincere commitment to developing the South East Zone of the country in line with the All Progressives Congress Manifesto.
The Chairman of the party in Anambra state , Comrade Basil Ejidike and members of the Central Working Committee gave the commendation in Awka while speaking with newsmen on the revalidation and registration exercise ongoing in the area.
According to Comrade Ejidike, President Buhari has shown total commitment and has made tremendous efforts on carrying the South East including Anambra state along in his infrastructural development agenda.
The APC State Chairman said the Level of work at the second Niger bridge, Onitsha Awka axis of the expressway, upgrading of the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, and other social intervention programmes in the zone were clear indications that the Buhari led administration meant well for the people of the area and the country in general
Chief Ejidike said the ongoing revalidation and registration of members in the state would enable them ascertained the strength of the party in the state and to also create opportunity for new intending members In line with the provisions of the party constitution which allows such exercise within the space of two to three years intervals.
He noted that all the materials for the exercise had been seemingly distributed to all the wards in the state without any rancour and encouraged the people to take advantage of the opportunity.
Chief Basil Ejidike who said a situation room had been set up to address unforseen challenges arising from the exercise, said the party needed about two hundred million naira to be able to execute the revalidation and registration project.
