Ekiti State Government has procured hospital equipment worth about three hundred million naira.
The equipment are beds, stethoscopes, drip stands, cord lamps, weighing scales, episiotomy scissors, towels, chairs, blood and glucose monitor among others.
Governor Kayode Fayemi said that the equipment would be distributed among forty-eight primary healthcare centres in the state.
Represented by the Deputy Governor, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi, Governor Fayemi said that measures have been put in place to ensure equitable distribution of the equipment to healthcare centres.
He said that his Administration would continue to renovate hospitals and provide modern equipment to enhance the quality of health service delivery.
Earlier, the Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr Oyebanji Filani appreciated Donor Agencies for supporting the State Government and promised that the equipment would be used optimally.
