Kwara donates N5m worth of teaching aids to students with disabilities

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has inaugurated N5m worth of teaching aids for students with disabilities, pledging to continue to identify and give the children equal opportunity to succeed.

The Governor who joined students of the School of Special Needs in the state to mark his 61st birthday, expressed his passion to cater for communities in the state.

The items donated were modern text books brail machines, oven, refrigerator, and electric standing fans, among others.

The Governor also inspected the solar energy recently renovated for ICT centre of the school, urging parents not to despise children with disabilities as they could also attain their full potentials if properly supported.

Principal of the School, Hajia Fausat Aroyehun commended the Governor for his uncommon attachment and support for the school.

Permanent Secretary in the State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun said government procured the items to fulfil its plan to make quality learning accessible to the students.
