Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has signed the State’s 2021 appropriation bill into law.
The Governor, said with the budget, his administration would build on the ongoing infrastructural development and increased investments in social protection and youths empowerment.
The Governor commended the House for working hard to ensure the N137.6bn appropriation bill was passed into law.
He also assented to the bill repealing pension payments to former Governors and former Deputy Governors in the state
Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Engineer Dalalandi Yakubu who witnessed signing with some legislators said the budget would have huge impacts on the economy of the state, especially, with regards to job creation.
Governor AbdulRazaq had on December 14, 2020 presented a budget proposal of N123,091,307,468 to the House of Assembly.
Few weeks later, the governor presented an upward review of the fiscal documents to the State Assembly, jerking it upward with about N13 billion.
