The inauguration which began at 11:15 a.m. was conducted in line with COVID-19 protocol with limited number of participants.
In his inaugural address, President Biden who pleaded for Unity told Americans that ‘democracy has prevailed,’
He gave assurance that his administration will work for all Americans.
“I will be a president for all Americans,” Biden vowed in an address on the Capitol steps.
Hours before the ceremony began reports say, President Trump, who refused to concede, left the White House for the final time hours earlier and flew to Florida — making him the first president to skip his successor‘s swearing-in since 1869.
