As schools resumed across the country, Nigerian Governors Forum said it will meet on Wednesday to find a way out of the COVID-19 second wave.
The Governors in a statement by its spokesman Abdulrazaque Bello-Barkindo says it was alarmed by the intensity of the second wave of the global pandemic and the country’s “tardy commencement of inoculation ”.
COVID-19 cases continued to rise in Nigeria, and more deaths recorded.
On Sunday, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC’s latest figure indicates 110,387 infections with 1,435 deaths.
According to the statement, the meeting will also discuss revenue sharing and the water resources bill.
It further adds that being the first NGF meeting in 2021, the Governors will conduct it virtually.
