The Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the National Identity Management Commission, NIMC, Mr. Aliyu Aziz says the Commission has commenced the training of Adhoc Staff to fast-track the ongoing National Identification Number, NIN registration across the country.

The DG of NIMC represented by the General Manager, Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance Services, Hajiya Hadiza Dagabana said, NIMC was saddled with the responsibility of establishing, operating and managing the national identity database of the country and would work closely with relevant authorities to ensure Nigerians personal data was protected.
The DG of NIMC who warned against extortion from the people before registering them explained that NIMC registration is free and Nigerians should not pay for the exercise.
Callers on the Programme, Andrew Ajayi from Edo state and Adakole from Abuja urged the Management of NIMC to take a new approach in addressing challenges faced by Nigerians during NIN registration.
Responding to some of the questions asked by Callers, the DG of NIMC emphasized that every Nigerian could link his NIMC number with atleast Seven of their SIM Card once they obtained their number.
