Edo State Chairman, Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria, PMAN, Mr. Willy Eghe-Nova has urged Governments at all levels to give adequate support to the development of the creative industry.
Mr. Eghe-Nova who made the appeal in an interview with Radio Nigeria in Benin City, pointed out that in the midst of rising cases of joblessness, the creative industry would provide thousands of jobs for Nigerians, especially the youths and improve their standards of living.
Mr. Eghe-Nova specifically called on Edo State Government to see to the establishment of an artiste village in the state, to enhance the growth of the industry.
He enjoined youths to shun the desire to get rich through dubious means, and encourage them to embrace government’s programmes aimed at improving their living conditions.
