Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun says the state government is taking steps to establish an Agro-Allied based airport that will project the state as a destination of choice for agriculture in the country.
Governor Abiodun made this known while inspecting the former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s Aquaculture project at Owiwi, Ewekoro Local Government Area of the state.
While speaking on efforts to make the state a special Agro-Processing Zone, Governor Abiodun said the government would continue to encourage partnerships and give priority to the agricultural sector towards alleviating poverty and reducing unemployment in the state.
Governor Abiodun commended former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo for the project aimed at boosting food security, employment generation and promoting tourism in the state and the country.
In a remark, Chief Obasanjo who commended the present administration in the state for giving priority to the agricultural sector promised his commitment to the task of contributing to the growth of the sector at different levels.
