DG progressive forum tasks Nigerians on organised crime

The Director-General of Progressives Governors’ Forum, Dr Salihu Lukman, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to investigate and prosecute anyone found culpable in the organized crime facing the country.

Dr Lukman said the growing state of insecurity in the country was unacceptable, arguing that security agencies should be held accountable for the series of security breaches in the country.

In a statement, the All Progressives Congress APC chieftain, stressed the need to bring the insecurity that was causing the country embarrassment to an end.

He cited the abduction of the about 500 students of the Government Science School Kankara in Katsina state as painful and shameful.

Dr. Lukman said a situation where the citizens woke up to growing information about kidnappings, armed banditry, attacks and murder of innocent people by Boko Haram was worrisome.

He urged Nigerians to strengthen their support for the government to bring to an end, the rate of organized crime in parts of the country.
