The Zamfara state assembly seat of Bakura local government area of the state by-election is in progress.
The election which started at early hours of today has a mass turn out of voters.
Speaking to newsmen at shortly after casting his vote at Birnin Tudu Ajoyaya poling unit, an observer Alhaji Abubakar Aliyu Maradun express satisfaction with preparedness made by the independent Electoral Commission (INEC), Security Agencies and party agents.
He observed that the turn out can be compared with that of 2019 general election and also commended the State Independent Electoral Commission for organising a hitch-free exercise.
When Radio Nigeria visited some polling units at Shiyyar Galadiima 008, Gamji primary school 006 and Bakura Primary school there were mass turn out of voters.
It was also the same situation at Rumfar Sarki poling unit in Bakura where large number of voters came out to exercise their franchise.
