Insecurity puts Nasarawa traders, marketers on edge

Nasarawa State Traders and Marketers have expressed concern over the rising spate of insecurity in the state.

Acting President of the Association Alhaji Turaki Gamji gave this indication during a press conference in Lafia.

Alhaji Turaki Gamji said the current state of insecurity in the state and the country at large calls for proactive measures by government towards addressing the situation before it degenerates.

He called on members of the association to be security conscious at all times and join hands with security agencies to fish out bad elements among them.

Alhaji Turaki Gamji also explained that the current high cost of goods in markets was attributed to rise in the cost of production and transportation especially food items.

The press conference was to announce the dissolution of Alhaji Shamasu Dantsoho led executive officials of the association which was elected in 2017 over alleged financial impropriety and abuse of office.
