Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari has applauded the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN for upholding professionalism as it remains a flagship of broadcasting.
He gave the commendation when FRCN North Central Zonal Director, Mallam Haruna Idris visited his palace in Ilorin.
Dr Sulu-Gambari said as a former high court judge, he understands the importance media to national development.
He thanked Radio Nigeria Harmony FM Idofian for a good representative of Radio Nigeria in the state through quality news and programmes.
Mallam Haruna Idris had earlier given an assurance of a committed and harmonious relationship between the community and FRCN, as the station strives to uplift the people and unite the nation.
FRCN remains poised to objective and balance reportage, he added.
The Zonal Director’s entourage included general managers of the five FM stations under the zone which includes Harmony FM Idofian, Precious FM, Lafia, Harvest FM, Makurdi, Prime FM Lokoja, Highland FM Jos and other senior management and staff.
