Speaker Nasarawa State House of Assembly Mr. Ibrahim Balarabe has pledged commitment towards passing into law more bills aimed at engaging youths in ventures that have positive impacts on their conditions of living.
Mr Ibrahim Balarabe stated this at the unveiling of a rice processing firm in Lafia the Nasarawa State capital.
The speaker, represented by the Deputy Speaker, Mr Tsense Dandaura said recent developments across the country indicate that the youths are becoming more agitated for a better deal in governance hence the need for Government at all levels to focus more on youth driven leadership and good governance.
Wife of the Nasarawa State Governor Hajiya Silifat Abdullahi commended the management of the rice processing firm who are made up of youths for their foresight to come up with such initiative which according her, would contribute immensely in providing employment opportunities for youths in the state.
Hajiya Silifat Abdullahi Sule said through her pet project, Silifat Abdullahi Sule Hope Foundation, she would establish stronger collaborations with individuals and private organisations to champion the course of youth and women empowerment in the state.
General Manager of the rice firm, Khalima Special Rice Mr Umar Abdullahi called on the state government to pay maximum attention to fighting insecurity to pave way for businesses to thrive in the state.
