Osun gov’t relaxes curfew

Osun State Govenor, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola has approved the relaxation of the curfew period, effective from Thursday, October 29, 2020.

Consequently, the curfew will now run from 8:00pm to 6:00am daily while Security operatives will still remain on the streets to enforce the new curfew directive with a view to maintaining law and order in the state.

In a statement, Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prince Wole Oyebamiji said motorcycle operators would now operate from 6:00am to 8:00pm daily and this subsists even after the curfew was completely lifted.

The statement lauded residents and citizens of the state for their show of understanding and cooperation in the last five days of the curfew.

It noted that effective from Thursday, October 29, anyone found to be in possession of any looted item would be arrested, investigated and prosecuted 

The statement enjoined residents  to be peaceful and law abiding as all efforts shall be made to protect them and their property.
