Gombe State Governor, Inuwa Yahaya and representatives of the Chinese Conglomerate at the signing of the MoU
Gombe State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a Chinese conglomerate to generate 450 megawatts of electricity from coal.
Speaking at the ceremony at the Government House, Governor Inuwa Yahaya said the signing was a milestone in the quest to improve on standard of living.
Gov. Yahaya said the State would harness it’s coal deposits to generate power, thereby stimulating industrial development and economic activities.
Vice President of the Chinese company, Chang Weijuin said they have the capacity to harness human and natural resources in Gombe, which would advance industrialization in the state.
