President Muhammadu Buhari commissioned a road, in the capital city of Bissau, named in his honour, on Guinea Bissau’s 47th Independence anniversary.
President of Guinea Bissau, Umaro Embalo has named a street after President Muhammadu Buhari.
He said it was a mark of honour and respect he has for the Nigerian leader due to his honesty, discipline and fear of God.
At a dinner meeting with President Buhari and that of Senagal, Macky Sall, in Aso Rock, Abuja, Embalo also expressed appreciation for PMB’s support during his inauguration as President of Guinea Bissau.
Senagal’s President Sall also commended Nigeria for supporting the cost of war against insurgency in the Lake Chad Basin and towards the restoration of peace and constitutional order in Mali.
He reiterated the commitment of the ECOWAS leaders to continue to support the transitional government in Mali to enable it meet the December 2021 deadline of conducting elections in that country.
The Senegalese leader said they had fruitful bilateral talks with President Buhari bordering on security, economic, COVID-19 as well as regional and global issues.
