Former Super Eagles Player, Chikelue Iloenyosi says there is the need for football managers across the nation to recognize all stakeholders in the game for sports development.
Iloenyosi who was speaking with sports journalists in Awka, shortly after picking form for the upcoming Football Association, Anambra state chapter said when the key players in the sports sector are carried along, they will bring their wealth of experience.
The Ex Super Eagles Striker said the football Association in the state needs someone who has passion and experience to attract investors.
He promised to ensure that youths from the state are discovered and trained to join the nation’s under 17 and national team.
Chikelue Iloenyosi who is contesting for the Position of FA chairman in Anambra state expressed confidence in the credibility of the electoral committee led by Reverend Father Obinna Dike to deliver on their mandate of conducting free and fair exercise.
The former striker who is also Special Assistant to the President Of Nigeria Football Association, NFF, Amaju Pinick, said if he comes in as the FA chairman, there would be more goal projects in the local governments while efforts would be made to establish male and female teams for the state.
He expressed hope that football and sporting activities will no doubt engage the youths and also reduce the rate of their involvement in other activities that cause harm to the society.
The ex player commended the present administration in the state for taking steps towards reposition sports by giving attention to some of the sporting facilities including Awka Stadium which is under construction.
