FG urges agricultural associations to access N75b intervention fund

The Federal Government has given assurance to any recognised Agricultural Commodity Association of direct access to its Seventy Five Billion Naira intervention fund for Small scale Farmers.

The Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Nasir Sani- Gwarzo gave the assurance in Abuja while inaugurating National Executive Committee of National Ginger Association of Nigeria.

Dr. Sani-Gwarzo said the government has keen interest in enhancing the infrastructural quality control and value chain for ginger to be reckoned with more than oil sector.

The Permanent Secretary urged the newly inaugurated Committee to apply for the intervention to take ginger production and Consumption to greater heights in the next ten years.

The National President of the Association, Nuhu Daudu expressed determination of the the Association to ensure that Nigerian Ginger becomes world best and thereby improved nation’s GDP.
Currently, Nigeria is leading in Africa and Fourth in the World in Ginger Production.
