The Lagos State Government says it remains committed to ensuring a conducive environment for the state judiciary to carry out its duty efficiently and effectively.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu stated this after a tour of the Ikeja and Igbosere High courts.
The Governor told newsmen that his administration would set up a joint Committee on the renovation of infrastructure at both the High courts and Magistrates Courts.
“They will start work almost immediately but we need to work around the logistics of how all of this will happen because there will be a bit of displacement, inconveniences, they need to understand that we are about scaling up our physical infrastructure in most of our courts” the Governor said.
While also reiterating the state government’s commitment to the
provision of schools, hospitals, and roads, the Governor noted that it was also the responsibility of government to ensure the welfare of those in the judiciary.
