Nasarawa State government says it has given approval for the employment of additional thirty Doctors and other medical personnel in the State to strengthen and improve healthcare service delivery in the State.
Governor Abdullahi Sule disclosed this when he received the Nigerian Medical Association NMA led by its president Doctor Innocent Ujah who paid him a courtesy call at the government house, Lafia.
Lauding the effort of the Nigerian Medical Association for their wonderful job aimed at saving lives of the citizens, governor Abdullahi Sule said his administration is working assiduously towards improving and enhancing the state health sector through meeting the manpower needs in some vital area of the sector.
While calling on them not to restrict COVID-19 tests to only those with the symptoms of the disease, the governor explained that what he has done in the state health sector is not enough for the state promising to do more in the sector.
He further told his guest that training and capacity building of medical personal we’re some of the important issues been discussed at their NEC meeting.
The NMA president Doctor Innocent Ujah said he was pleased with the cordial relationship between the state government and the Nigerian Medical Association, Nasarawa State Chapter.
