Nasarawa State government has inaugurated the eighteen man Committee to strengthen and enhance the standard of education in the State.
Inaugurating the Committee at the government house Lafia, Governor Abdullahi Sule said the move was a deliberate effort aimed at uplifting the state to a new level of educational development.
Underscoring the importance of education to nation-building, the governor explained that education remains one of the major priority of his administration, as was seen in the twenty-twenty budget education sector received the lion share.
He said the composition and Inauguration of the educational sector development plan are aimed at providing the impetus for the actualization of the vision of his administration for the sector and the state as a whole.
Charging the Committee members to live above board, the state governor pointed out that government was meticulous in the selection of members of the committee who are guided by the terms of reference.
On her part, Chairman of the Committee and the state Commissioner for education Hajiya Fati sabo pledged their Commitment to discharge their responsibility as expected.
The Committee has twelve weeks to submit it’s report.
