Professor Ityavyar stated that with the arrangement, the third term of last academic session has been cancelled with students expected not to pay school fees for the term for both public and private schools.

He stated that schools with large populations would be expected to divide the students into morning and afternoon sessions to ensure that COVID-19 protocols on social distancing would be observed.

For the tertiary institutions, the commissioner said the Governing Council of respective institutions would determine how they would be run without compromising COVID-19 protocols.
