The Federal Fire Service has called for synergy with Radio Nigeria with a view to disseminating its activities to the people of the North East sub-region.
Assistant Controller, in-charge of North East Zone C, Haruna Ajiya Joji made the call during a courtesy visit to Radio Nigeria’s Globe FM Bauchi.
Haruna Joji said the call became imperative in view of the Radio Nigeria’s news and programme content that reaches the citizens especially those in remote areas.
He said the service would soon embark on a three-day massive public enlightenment campaign tagged “Fire Week Awareness” aimed at preventing fire outbreak in the society.
The General Manager Radio Nigeria Globe FM Bauchi Malam Aminu Abdullahi Gombi assured the Federal Fire Service of adequate coverage and publicity for it to live up to its responsibilities.
“I think it is a great disservice if we allow an important agency of government like yours without adequate publicity, after all this is a federal government media outfit and there must be this synergy between all the agencies so that the common objective of the government would equally be achieved”- Gombi said.
Aminu Gombi said as a subsidiary of the FRCN, Globe FM Bauchi would do all within its capacity to render services in tandem with its motto of uplifting the people and uniting the nation.
