The National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus has called on President Muhammad Buhari to ensure that INEC conducts free and fair governorship elections in Ondo and Edo states.
Prince Secondus made the call during the party’s gubernatorial campaign flag off in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
He charged members of the party to vote enmass for PDP during the October 10th governorship election in the sunshine state.
The PDP national chairman warned against rigging in the forthcoming elections in Ondo and Edo states.
Chairman, PDP Governors’ Forum, Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto and Seyi Makinde of Oyo said the recent increase in pump price of petrol and electricity tariff were enough for the people to vote against the APC government in Ondo state.
Earlier, PDP standard bearer in the Ondo election, Eyitayo Jegede who received the party’s flag from Prince Uche Secondus implored the people to vote for PDP candidate massively.
Mr Jegede said if elected as Ondo state governor, there would be drastic reduction in tuition in tertiary institutions among others.
