FCT pilgrim’s board affirms zero tolerance for abscondment

The Federal Capital Territory Christian pilgrim’s welfare board says it has commenced sensitization of intending pilgrims for the end of the year pilgrimage.

The FCT director of the Christian pilgrim’s welfare board, Mr John Dabara-Audu who stated this in Abuja noted that the exercise would only take place after the board’s approval.

Mr. Dabara-Audu also said they had zero tolerance for abscondment.

 According to  Mr Dabara-Audu guarantors must pay seven million naira if the person they sponsor abscond.

He also affirmed that though government sponsorship of pilgrims had stopped, their welfare was utmost important while in the Holy land.

  He explained that a comfortable accommodation and medical personnel would be provided for the pilgrims to have a successful pilgrimage.

Mr Dabara-Audu added pilgrims who paid for April edition but could not go would be factored in for the new exercise.
