Governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC), say the UK’s order to stay execution in favour of Nigeria in the $10 billion P&ID debt judgment is a mark of commitment of the Buhari-led administration to defend the interest of the citizens.
The Forum also applauded President Muhammadu Buhari for managing the economy which led to the ongoing infrastructure projects in various parts of the country despite the COVID-19 and other challenges.
In a statement, Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Kebbi State, Alhaji Atiku Bagudu said national projects such as the rail lines, the 2nd Niger Bridge, the Ajaokuta Steel and Roads construction were made possible by the determination of the administration to better the lives of the citizens.
The Progressives Governors after a Teleconference commended the federal government for standing by Dr. Akinwumi Adesina’s re-election as President of African Development Bank (AfDB) and the nomination of Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala for the position of Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO).
The Forum expressed confidence that the declaration of the country’s polio free status by the World Health Organisation (WHO), and the inauguration of the APC, Executive and Legislative Tripartite Consultative Committee would spur the administration to deliver its campaign promises to Nigerians.
