Imo State Governor Chief Hope Uzodimma says he will ensure a transparent and hitch-free primary election to select APC Candidate for Imo North senatorial district bye-election scheduled to hold in October this year.
He gave the assurance when some former Commissioners, past state house of assembly Legislators and other appointees who served in the last APC-led administration in the state visited him in government house Owerri.
Governor Uzodimma said he had no interest in who flies the flag of the party during the main election and called on aspirants under the APC to feel free to canvass votes from party members.
He called on members of the party in the State to unite and build a formidable platform that would serve the overall interest of citizens.
Governor Uzodimma promised to run an all inclusive government where every member of the party will be given equal opportunity to actualize their dreams.
A former Deputy Governor in the State Prince Eze Madumere assured Governor Uzodimma of their support and called on the party leaders to be patient with the government as plans were on to accommodate everyone.
Governor Uzodimma used the forum to reach out to other members of the party who are still nursing grievances to enable them forge a formidable force.
