Emir of Gusau, Alhaji Ibrahim Bello say farming and other economic activities were gradually gaining ground in Zamfara following onslaught against bandits by the Nigerian Army.

The Emir stated this on Friday, when he visited the Army Super Camp 4, Faskari in Katsina State.

He is among other authorities that visited the camp over armed banditry and kidnapping.

Governor Nasiru Elrufai and his Niger state counterpart, as well as the governors of Zamfara and Sokoto had earlier visited the camp

Emir of Anka in Zamfara State was also at the camp.

Alhaji Ibrahim said bandits, kidnappers, cattle rustlers and other criminals have been terrorising people and crippled economic activities, hence the need for drastic measures to end it.

He said with fighting equipment, gallant personnel, logistics and other items displayed to him by the army, he is optimistic that banditry will end soon.
