Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has commended the organised private sector for the strategic roles they played in the campaign against COVID-19 pandemic across the country.
AbdulRazaq gave the commendation at the inauguration of the distribution of food palliatives donated by the private sector-led Coalition Against COVID-19 (CACOVID) and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in Ilorin.
He expressed appreciation for the efforts of CACOVID in the fight against COVID-19 in the state .
The governor explained that the CACOVID had earlier visited the isolation centre where they made donations of medical supplies and other medical consumables.
The CACOVID food palliatives to Kwara state included 27,360 bags of semolina; 27,360 bags of sugar; 27,360 cartons of pasta; 27,360 bags of salt; 27,360 (10kg) bags of rice; as well as 54,720 cartons of noodles.
