The Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Dr Ibrahim Isa PANTAMI says the present administration will continue to explore means of reducing the cost of data and internet access.
Dr Pantami stated this while playing host to the executive members of the National Association of Information Technology Reporters, NITRA IN ABUJA.
Dr Pantami said others indices that have made data expensive such as right of way charge in various states and infrastructural management have been addressed with the cooperation of various states.
Dr PANTAMI called on ICT reporters to be thorough in their reportage as they serve as a beacon of hope to nation building through digital Skills awareness.
The President of the National Association of Information Technology Reporters NITRA, Mr Blessings l Olaifa of the Nation Newspaper commended the effort of the Minister in Repositioning the ICT Digital Economy sector in Nigeria.
He pledged the support of ICT Reporters in enhancing the sector further.
The visit featured the presentation of an award of exceptional performance to the minister by NITRA.
