Kaduna state Governor Nasiru El-Rufai has felicitated the Muslim community on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, the festival of sacrifice.
In a message of felicitation to the Muslim community on the festival of Eid-el-Kabir, the governor appealed for reflections on the tradition of deep faith that the festival marks.
Governor ElRufai requested the citizens to mark the profound festival of faith with strict compliance with public health guidelines.
He urged citizens to remain conscious of the continuing peril of COVID-19 and to protect themselves and others by complying with the health protocols.
“Noting that this is the first religious festival since the COVID-19 pandemic began for which congregational prayers in open spaces are permitted.
The governor called for caution and personal responsibility, stated that while strict lockdown conditions have since been eased, “the dangers from the virus have not abated, making it important that citizens should continue to show concern for the health and well being of others”
Malam Nasiru Elrufai however called for prayers for the peace, progress and development of the country.
He appealed to all communities in Kaduna State to uphold peace and harmony.
The governor called on people of the state to continue offers prayers for peaceful coexistence and be law-abiding citizens at all times.
