The Nigeria Union of Journalists Zamfara State Council joins Muslim faithfuls to celebrate Eid-El-Adha and to everyone a joyous Sallah.
Eid El-Kabir celebration for the year 2020, many expect good wishes from their friends, family members and loved ones, hence, the need for journalists to take part in wishing everyone the best.
However, we call on all to celebrate the Sallah with consciousness and in conformity with laid down rules, regulations and protocols to prevent spread of the dreaded COVID-19 virus.
Social distancing, avoiding crowds, regular washing of hands, using facemasks and minimizing movement should be maintained by all to reduce the risk of contracting the killer virus.
NUJ Zamfara Council also urges the state populace to be security conscious and be very vigilant to complement governments and Security agencies in their efforts to contain the security challenges in the state by reporting any suspicious act or movement to the nearest security outfit.
Also, we commend the State Command of the Nigeria Police Force, under the Commissioner of Police, Usman Nagogo, for the resilience and commitment to ensure hitch free Sallah celebration through special security arrangement to protect lives and property during and after the Sallah Celebrations as well as other security agencies for their efforts too.
